A smarmy new offering
KRQE News 13, a.k.a. The Greatest News Program In The Universe, aired the most incredible story last night about a cheerleader voyeur web site. Here's how it opens:
Dick Knipfing: There's a big buzz tonight among teenagers in New Mexico and elsewhere about a smarmy new offering out on the Internet.
A big buzz? Among teenagers? In New Mexico and elsewhere? A smarmy new offering? Tell me more!
Erika Ruiz: The operators of what claims to be the ultimate peeping tom website are targeting high school cheerleaders across the United States.
You've got to see this. Knipfing's got that "It's a fucked up world, but what're ya gonna do?" look on his face and when Erika says the word "claims," she waggles her head back and forth like a trash-talking guest on Jerry Springer.
Cut to the actual story. The reporter interviews some cheerleaders at Cibola High about how they feel about it. The cheerleaders are "young and full of energy," he notes. Not surprisingly, they "don't support" the smarmy new offering. Why don't they support it? Because it's
a website focusing its cameras up the skirts of high school cheerleaders!
Hot dog! What's that address again? Quick! Fire up the Dell!
God, I just love that show. I just love it. So classy.

I watched that as well, it
I watched that as well, it is as if they had absolutely nothing to air. Since there were no images of girls from this state, why is this a top story in Albuquerque? It reminds of when I first moved here 3 years ago and their top story was "Bear in Tree".
