Detroit
I went to Detroit for a conference in 2006 and have had a strange fascination ever since. The first blogs I found were about exploring empty landmarks and disintegrated neighboorhoods. I really like the photos of empty hotels and industrical buidlings. Every city has abandoned or empty places to explore but in Detroit whole neighborhoods are gone with houses returning to the earth.
Check out: The Motor(less) City, dETROITfUNK and Forgotten Detroit, 100 Abandoned Houses and see earlier post by Melvix.
There is a bike exploration blog that is great too. I have a bit of trouble imagning myself biking through the worst neighborhoods of Detroit. I guess that is why the voyueristic vicarious thrill is so good. Here are some awesome signs.

It is kind of hooked on phonics....

I will be getting you all blessed thinking caps for Christmas.

Thank God they are upscale chi-chis.
