I really loved the city of Taxco. Yes, because I gorked out on silver but also because the city is charming. It is built on hills with narrow winding streets. The houses are mostly white plaster and the roofs are all tiled. This video actually gives a pretty good sense of what the town looks like and also has some extreme wild cycling!
Casa Gonzales is a mansion in the Zona Rosa that is now a kind of B&B. The family still lives there. The paintings on the walls were done by Felix Lieftuchter, who lived with the Gonzalezes for many years, painting portraits of the them.
