A security guard came along and politely told Cristy to take her foot off the stone coping where we were sitting, but neither of us could understand what he wanted so there was an hilarious Three Stooges routine for a few seconds where we both got up and sat down and got up and sat down while he tried to tell us that we could sit on the coping, but we couldn't put our feet on the coping.
Coyolxauhqui is a massive stone carving that sat at the bottom of the steps of the temple. When the priests would sacrifice people, they cast the bodies down and they would (presumably) land on the stone, or near it. More about Coyolxauhqui.
