Smoothies
January 28, 2006 - 12:59pm | MelvixSome friends are coming over tonight for dinner. When the subject of dessert came up, I suggested that we could have fruit smoothies. My idea was met with derision and something close to outright scorn. Fruit salad was suggested as an alternative.
Fruit salad is better than a smoothie? I don't understand this. Smoothies are closer to ice cream, especially when you make them with full-fat yogurt. Fruit salad is closer to... salad.

I just finished Open Secrets, which was, well, fantastic. Now I'm going to have to read all her books. I love discovering a prolific author and spending the next months or years reading everything by them.

Excellent questions. The answers are: a) I don't know and b) I don't know. It's purpose is unknown... a mystery! It's an enigma wrapped in a riddle all nestled in a box of tsunamis.
"Why do you think what you write about is important enough for me to read?"
I don't. And yet you read on.
Maybe you're bored. Maybe you're hoping to find some sort of clue about what kind of person I am, or what I eat for breakfast, or how often I bathe. Maybe you used to know me in high school and you're up late googling for people you used to know. Maybe you're doing a research paper on people who publish self-indulgent blogs. Maybe you're from the future and this is the only shred of data left over from this century and you're puzzling over the strange markings.
That's enough about that.
Special note to readers of future centuries: Sorry about all the extinct plants and birds and stuff.
